A Prayer for May 12, 2008

Blessed be the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; and God the Father--the God Most High--as Your throne is standing in the heavens and the train of Your robe fills the temple. Majestic in holiness, there is none like You. You, who have declared the end from the beginning, who dwells in unapproachable light, who is unmovable and unchangeable, and who knows all the stars by name. Before You all the nations are nothing in Your sight and are less than meaningless; yet, You humble Yourself to behold the things that are in heaven and in the earth; and choose to dwell with the contrite and lowly of Spirit, and incline Your ear to the prayers of Your children. Hear us this day, O Lord, give heed to our supplications, grant our requests, and attend our prayers for we do not know how to pray as we should; but in our weakness strengthen us, in our blindness give us sight, in our ignorance give us knowledge, and in our sin forgive us and grant us repentance and restore to us the joy of our salvation. Blessed be the Lord, now and forever more. Amen

Are You an Almost Christian

Bill Lawless has posted one of George Whitfields greatest sermons, "An Almost Christian" over at his blog, Reformed Lawless. You can link to it from here http://billsbible.blogspot.com
